Kickstart Positions JDs –
As a CiC our income generation activities are key to supporting and subsidising our Flagship Ageless Teenagers project. The aim of the project is to reduce loneliness and isolation amongst seniors by providing a range of activities and opportunities for our seniors to socialise. We print, design and customise t-shirts and other garments to order to raise funds.
The main responsibility of the job
• Greeting customers
• Operating of the print press (after training)
• Using industry software such as Illustrator and Photoshop to design (after training)
• Advising customers on personalised request
Print assistants will be given training to learn a safe operation of a printing press. These are skills that can be used to set up their own businesses also in the future. They will also have time to focus on personal development and will be shadowing the Print Manager learning how to deliver a custom order from start to finish of the process. They will also additionally also have 1-2-1 support and mentoring from Generation.
Someone who is creative and able to come up with independent ideas would do well in this role. You also need to be a friendly patient people person able to communicate well and confidently with customers. Must be interested in learning a new skill and applying it. A knowledge of IT software would be a bonus
Education and Skills
Educated at least to GCSE standards in maths and English. *Ideally an IT qualification would also be nice to have.

In addition to our print business we also aim to rejuvenate and engage with our member and deliver regular sessions which include breakfast club, film club, gardening club, online and face-to-face exercise classes and a monthly Tea Dance..
The main responsibility of the job is to coordinate administration for our funded projects, ensure that we collect evaluation data from members and produce reports to funders and to our Board on progress.
